Jim Grice, a native Orleanian, works predominantly in the medium of metal sculpture. He completed a degree in Fine Arts from the University of New Orleans with further studies at San Francisco Art Institute under Jeremy Wood and Al Light. He worked as an assistant to Lin Emery and  George Rowan, and as a foundry assistant to Bill Ludwig.
